How about spending more money on groceries because of how Television shows have affected you?
An article found HERE claims that people who watch crime shows like Law & Order, CSI, Criminal Minds, Numbers, etc... are more apt to get hungry while watching television or change their grocery shopping habbits because of what they watched?
Do we believe in these studies?
Besides the crime show connection of higher consumption, I wonder if there is not also a connection with the time of year that we are watching. New shows start in the fall when in nature animals are consuming and hording and building up their fat to last through the winter. Seems like we are still doing this too, even though we no longer have to do it to survive. I know that my appetite seems to increase in the fall and the types of food I crave are more filling. It's still the cave man instincts.
