There will be a social worker in our house tomorrow morning.
She needs to make sure we don't have a gaping whole in our floor or missing stairs. That, and 3-4 hours worth of questioning and evaluating us as potential parents.
Weird thing is, we are far more excited than anxious. Far more looking forward to this than scared of it. Excited to cross another meeting/task of the to-do list that keeps us separated from baby.
Welcome to our home social worker...has to come before welcome home baby. So welcome to our home social worker it is.
My life is lived within parenthesis. My life is not about me, though it may contain some interesting points. The main point is far outside myself and rests with my God/Savior. I seek to tell His story in a different way, a way that you'll understand, a way that will move you, and in a way that draws you into relationship with the Hero of the story.

The Calm is Coming
The storm of busy-ness with work/soccer/baby planning continues and finds me often just not even remembering that I have a blog, let alone thinking of what to write on it.
The calm of that storm will be here soon though. Unfortunately, that calmness comes at the center of the storm, not at the end of it, as the whirlwind of busy and life change will no doubt arrive along with baby. I imagine the only difference will be that I'll have plenty of things I want to share at that point.
Sorry the storm has kept me away.
