It Is The Parent's Fault

On Saturday we went our nephew's 1 year old b-day party.

He got his own cake. Instead of destroying it, he sat eating it patiently with a spoon. Those looking to take pictures (my wife and Luke's mother) did not appreciate this as they wanted a two fisted baby and chocolate mess.

They even began encouraging it.

15 years later they would have shown him the picture and made fun of him for eating it so recklessly, but they were encouraging it.

3 days from now they would discourage this behavior and hope he would eat patiently with a spoon, but they were encouraging it.

Don't worry Luke, I was there, and I got your back. It wasn't your fault, your family was encouraging it.
