In Need of Opinions

I need some other opinions.

If you have been even semi-informed as to the Green Bay Packer's and Brett Favre situation, I am curious about your thoughts on it.

Should he have taken the money?

Should they have offered it?

Should he have been released?

Should he have stayed retired regardless of the money offer?

What are your thoughts?

I think that all these pro athletes should have to stay retired once they "retire." Maybe there should be something that says that they can only announce their retirements during a window that starts two months after the season is over and at least one month before their season begins. That way, they can forget whatever the reasons are that they hastily decide to retire and won't be changing their mind only a few months later. I think the Packers should not be trying to buy him out. If they have to let him come back, fine, but put him on the bench as second or third quarterback.

  2. I think he should have never retired in the first place. However, at this point, I would say that if I were Green Bay I would either trade him outside of the division, or keep him on their bench. However, as a fan, I think it would be hilarious to watch him on the Vikings, so I hope to see that.

  3. Though as a fan, the trade to the Vikings would be most amusing, I don't think he would look right in purple.

I don't mind that he came back, he did it all within league rules, so i'm fine with it.

Part of me would have liked to see him play for the Packers again, but he put them in a bad spot.

He shouldn't be riding the bench anywhere, so I hope he gets traded, I just don't know who to.

Ego problems manifest themselves in many different ways for different people (Packers owners, Packers Coach, Packers former QB). He's in for a downfall if he can't take a team to the Superbowl.
