This isn't the number of strokes I took today.

It isn't the number of putts.

It is the number of strokes difference between my score and that of my neighbor. He didn't have a good day on the course. I recorded 2 birdies and 4 or so pars. He recorded 2 10s and 4 11s.

I think I had more fun than him, but he got more play for his money than I did.

42 strokes. I could have played another 9 holes with that many.
