Despite the Negative...

This morning was a hectic cap to a busy week. I was in charge of the theme introduction part of the service, as well as the announcements and a 7 minute first person narrative as Paul the apostle telling his story of transformation.

Despite getting a soar throat last night, which prompted my first ever Nyquil experience and a bag of hard candy this morning, I made it through the first service fine.

I actually got more excited for the second service as my throat seemed to be co-operating, but the battery ran out on my hands-free mic about 2/3 of the way through the narrative, so that added a different feel and pause I was not expecting in part of that story.

Overall, the morning finished and I was ready to crash on the couch. It was a solid bet you'd find me here except the couple of minutes I spent going to the redbox to pick up a movie.

  1. Although the mic battery ran out, I really thought you had a great recovery. I went home and told Tony about it. You did great. Didn't miss a beat and even stayed in character!
