This was the first Ash Wednesday where throughout the day, when I saw someone with ash on their forehead, I was never confused.
Most years, at least the first time I see someone, it takes a couple minutes to remember, but not today...today, when I saw someone around 12:15, I remembered right away that it was Ash Wednesday.
