Tonight's small group food of choice was "jacks." By "jacks" we mean, fried hot dogs in the shape of "jacks" from the "pick up jacks" game. We immediately decided that this demanded we open a booth at the state fair.
We could sell Jacks on a Stick (with traditional toothpicks), Chili Cheese Jacks, Jumping Jacks (with jalapeno), Jacks in the Box (the to go version), along with whatever names we came up with for the various other types of dipping sauces we'd offer.
We spent far too long actually discussing what it would look like to acquire and run a booth at the state fair. Fortunately, we got to eat jacks (our host is the co-creator of jacks) as our snack for the evening.
