Teaching this Church History class has had me wondering what people will be confused by when they study this timeperiod of the church.
Most of Church History is filled with Christians doing some pretty ridiculous things and arguing about some really odd-ball kinds of church issues.
Every timeperiod is filled with that.
So what will be the glaring ones that stick out from our day? Things we don't even think to question and assume we've found the final verdict on?
I've got some guesses, but no valid arguments for any of them...homosexuality, cultural diversity, order and importance of different worship service activities, heaven/hell discussions, end-times discussions, and the list goes on.

Oh, eschatology, especially of the "Left Behind" ilk, takes the cake by far, at least in my opinion...
But that's an an opinion FROM this time period, so we'll see how it looks a few hundred (or thousand) years from now.
Good thoughts to think about, anyway.
